Hamlet Solitaire is a solitaire card game played with 2 decks of cards. At the beginning of the game all 104 cards are dealt into 13 piles of 8 cards. The bottom card in each pile is turned face down. If a King is found in a pile, it is automatically moved to the bottom of the pile. The top card in each pile may be moved between the piles, or to the foundation. The 13 piles can be built down regardless of suit. When all the cards in a pile have been removed, a new pile can be started in it's place with any card the player chooses. The 8 foundations must be built up from Ace to King by suit. The player wins when all 104 cards have been moved to the foundations.
When I play this and get rid of a pile, it doesn't allow me to start a new pile in its place like the directions say. Am I doing something wrong?
Reply from Rick: I need to double check the rules on Hamlet Solitaire. I'm not sure if I didn't write the game correctly, or got the instructions wrong. I'll need to look into it a little more.
Thanks for letting me know,
Rick
